Celebrating Indonesia Independence Day with NIKI

Welcome to fashion and entertainment, where last minute projects have become a part of our daily routine. This week, we were able help NIKI celebrate Indonesia Independence Day in this LNH custom. The outfit was confirmed with NIKI at 9pm the night before and I am pretty proud to have completed this look in just 10 hours!

We wanted a representation of the Indonesian flag and culture by incorporating red on top and white on the bottom. We settled on a gorgeous burgundy lace top and a nude and white slip. The motifs are all hand cut from lace then arranged in an aesthetically pleasing manner that would compliment NIKI's petite frame. Corded lace works best when doing something like this. After we cut out all the lace, we lay it on top of a bodice base we created out of illusion. Then we either handsew or machine stitch the lace on by tracing the motif. The laces are from a variety of places our favorite being from Etsy. Happy Independence Day!
