When I started my career in fashion design I never imagined that I would be this involved in the music industry. I never really thought about how wardrobe was secured for these videos. It was something that I used to look at and think it was cool without a second thought. But now I have been fortunate that my portfolio is growing with music videos. So how do I keep getting music video features?
I get asked. For this video I was asked by stylist Rachel Haas to provide some looks for the Rich the Kid song "Woah" ft. Miguel and Ty Dolla $ign . I know I'm making it sound rather simple but it's taken me years of developing my portfolio and collections to reach this point. And the work doesn't stop there, I'm working 24/7 to create new designs that may appeal to stylists for their pulls.
Detail shots of our Skeleton Hand Bracelet
Little did I know that it would turn into a feature for some of my most popular pieces, the Black Tulle Gown and our Skeleton Hand Bracelet. These items can be seen in key seen with Miguel and Rich the Kid.
Unexpectedly this has become our iconic LNH Black Tulle Gown. It is cooler than I will ever be. Red carpets, music videos, Coachella.... It's everywhere.
Sadly I was unable to be on set for this music video because flight prices were insanely high. I had only been given a 48 hour notice for this pull which I am now realizing by industry standards is a lot of notice. Rachel was so sweet and FaceTime with me so I can get a glimpse at them shooting.
