I was so excited to finally receive a menswear project. I had met LSDream, also known as Sami Diament, a couple months earlier at Exchange LA and through a mutual friend we connected for this project. Sammi knew exactly what he wanted, overalls and a matching bucket hat. He provided me with the original radial artwork. I was able to use that artwork and play with its size and placement on the overalls in Photoshop. The most important part was getting his lyrics "Pillars of Light" onto the denim. Then I used a company I was familiar with, Spoonflower, to print the design on denim.
We only had one fit session and it was a perfect fit first time around! The timing also worked out. The completion of the overall lined up with one of his shows on his Universal Web Tour. LSDream played to a sold out show at 1720! Nothing compares to the feeling of seeing my work in action.
